The Bell 222 is a twin-engine civil helicopter that was developed in the 1970s and delivered from 1980 onwards. A visually modified version gained particular fame through the television series Airwolf.

The scale replica of the Airwolf helicopter in the GPS Pro version is rich in detail: the characteristic black and white paintwork, replicas of the on-board weaponry and integrated LED lighting give the model a striking appearance. The fuselage is made of robust ABS plastic. The rotor head, blade grips and parts of the swashplate are made of aluminium. Brushless motors with 1200KV on the main rotor and 5500KV on the tail rotor provide the power. In combination with the supplied 7.4V 1200mAh LiPo rechargeable battery, the system offers sufficient power for dynamic flight manoeuvres.

Flight stability is ensured by several sensors: a 6-axis gyro system (6G), a GPS module with compass function, a barometric altimeter and an optical altimeter. The control system is equipped with a dual-rate function that allows either reduced or full servo deflections. The swashplate movement is performed by four digital 4.3g mini servos with metal gears and an adjustment speed of 0.05 seconds to 60 degrees. The model has a reverse flight function that can be activated from a height of approximately five metres. A status LED on the upper part of the helicopter indicates the current battery status. When the battery voltage drops, a visual warning is given, followed by an automatic landing if there is no response. This Bell 222 Airwolf can be operated in both Mode 2 (throttle left) and Mode 1 (throttle right). In sensor mode, the maximum flight altitude is limited to approximately eight metres. 

Advanced flight functions are available in GPS mode. These include one-key return, automatic eight-flight, circular flight, a virtual safety fence, automatic return to the starting point and autonomous landing when the battery voltage is low or when the range is exceeded. The remote control has been specially adapted for this model and features an 8-channel dual system with two antennas for telemetry and transmission data. It displays real-time information on flight speed, altitude, distance, direction, flight mode, GPS signal strength, battery voltage in the model and the selected control mode.
