Robbe Cobra Aileron Version w/ Flaps Retro-Line 2040mm [kit-to-build] 2737

The “COBRA” model #2736 and #2737 is based on the Robbe “COBRA” model from the 1970s.

It has been carefully modernised without detracting from the overall character of the original model. As was the case back then, the latest version is also a classic wooden kit, with wings constructed using a spar-and-rib design. The design is such that assembling the model poses no major problems, even for the less experienced model-maker.

Only version #2737, with ailerons and flaps, is more labour-intensive and complex, due to the additional control surfaces and the installation of the wing servos.

#2736 2-axis version controlled only by elevator and rudder:
This version is ideal for beginners to model flying who would like to build a model aircraft themselves. The flight characteristics are exceptionally docile. Its strength lies in relaxed, extended thermal flights. Even the more experienced pilot will appreciate the model as an excellent ‘after-work’ model.

For this, the recommended powerplant – the RO-Power 2828-1350KV # 5818 combined with a 2S/1300mAh (# 7332) battery and a 10x6” propeller – is easily sufficient for several climb flights and extended motor runtime.

Spinners with a diameter of 32–35 mm fit the fuselage contour well. We also recommend 2 x FS 151 (# 9122) or FS 166 (#9123) ROBBE servos.

The #2737 3-axis version features a significantly modified wing, which is equipped with ailerons and flaps. Here, the more advanced model builder/pilot will find a very docile yet agile and thermally capable model, which, due to its wider range of applications, is ideally suited for slope flying and sporty flights on the flat.
With the recommended RO-Power 2837-1100KV (#5819), a 3S 1300–1800mAh battery (e.g. #7356) and a 9x7” propeller, the model achieves impressive climb and flight performance, which more than matches the sportier variants of the “COBRA” model.
Spinners with a diameter of 34–35 mm fit the fuselage contour well.

We recommend 2 x FS 151 (#9122) or FS 166 (#9123) Robbe servos for the elevator and rudder, as well as 4 x FS 29 X (#9126) Robbe servos for the ailerons and flaps.
